Oh WOW!!

I took part in the Sock Knitters of the World Unite and Swap swap and today got my lovely parcel from Mary in America. I was really good and didn't open it until I got home this evening and went through all of it. There are so many lovelies packed into that box.

First things first . . . was the bag and a grand bag it is too. Big enough to take a sweater and quite quite robust. The perfect place for me to store my many works in progress

There there were the yarns - I have three new ones that I have never tried before.

An Araucania Ranco in an amazing purple and blue colourway.

Then there was a beautiful soft rabbit angora mixed with wool from Aslan Trends

And finally there was the silky and strange Bamboo

I also have the worlds smallest circular knitting needle which is so incredibly wee, only 9" long and I imagine a bit fiddly to start with but I shall try it out and see how I get on.

Lastly there was teas and pens and chocolate so all in all a perfect present - thank you Mary for your wonderful gifts
