I have just signed up for the Tour de France KAL and I'm really looking forward to it. I have signed up for the Polka Dot Jersey or the King of the Mountains. For this category it has to be a challenge and possibly French related so I have decided to knit the Baudelaire socks from Knitty: these are lacy toe-up socks. The toe-up bit will be a bit of a challenge as I tried it a while back and it got hopelessly messy, so better luck this time round. I'm not sure about the yarn as of yet so I think that this weekend might entail a trip to the Wool Baa to have a look and see what Jill has.
Alternatively I have got hold of some vintage Patons Halcyon 2ply and might knit up some sexy lacy underwear in the French style!
